16 September to 17 October, 2023
We offer 45 hours of online lectures combined with 15 hours of practical training in Brussels, hosted by Aeromedical Association of Belgium (AMABEL).
Online Lectures (45 hours)
The online lectures start on 16 September 2023 and end on 11 October 2023. They will be held each Wednesday and Friday (3 hours - 16:00-19:00 CEST), and Saturday (6 hours - 09:00-16:00 CEST). Sufficient breaks will be provided.
Practical Training (15 hours)
The practical training will be given in Brussels from Monday 16 until Tuesday 17 October 2023 and will be concluded with a written examination. Participants are responsible for organizing and funding their travel and accommodation costs related to the practical training in Brussels.
Recognition
The course is designed to meet the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) requirements, as stated in the Implementing Regulation EU 2019/27 (including the requirements in the Acceptable Means of Compliance and Guidance Material to Part MED, issue 2, 2019). An application for approval of the course and recognition of the diploma will be submitted to the Chief Medical Officer of the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

- Medical degree and specialization
- Interest in aviation medicine
- Sufficient English language skills to participate in this course
Registration Procedure
Complete the registration form below. Registration will start on 01 June 2023 at 12:00 noon (CEST).
Upon registration, your application will be reviewed. After review is completed, admissions decisions will be communicated to applicants. Admission into the course is granted on a first come, first served basis.
Upon acceptance, a course fee payment invoice will be provided in the amount of €1850. Payment must be received within 2 weeks after notification to confirm your spot in the course. Failure to submit payment will result in forfeiture of your spot to a person on the waitlist.

Advanced Aeromedical Examiners (AME) Course
The European Society of Aerospace Medicine’s Academy organizes an Advanced Aeromedical Examiners (AME) Course from 28 September to 21 October, 2022
We offer 42 hours of online lectures combined with 24 hours of practical training at the Norwegian Institute of Aviation Medicine in Oslo.
The online lectures start on 28 September 2022 and will be held each Wednesday and Friday (3 hours - late afternoon), Saturday (6 hours), and Sunday (4 hours). Sufficient breaks will be provided. Sunday 16 October is left free for travel to Oslo. The practical training will be given from Monday 17 till Friday 21 October 2022 and will be concluded with a written examination.
ESAM Academy online webinars 2020-2021
Supported by the European Society of Aerospace Medicine (ESAM), the ESAM Academy was the first organisation in the international aerospace medical community to present an online webinar during the lockdown period in 2020. Because of its great success, a second webinar was organised on 15 January 2021.
