The European Society of Aerospace Medicine (ESAM) Academy Advanced Aeromedical Examiners (AME) Course
23 October to 28 November, 2024

We offer 42 hours of online lectures combined with 24 hours of practical training in Brussels, hosted by the Aeromedical Association Belgium (AMABEL).

Online Lectures (42 hours)

The online theoretical lectures will occur on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays according to the following schedule (CEST):

26.10 - 09:00-16:00 (1 hour lunch break)

Participation in online lectures is mandatory.

Practical Training (24 hours)

The practical training will occur in Brussels from Monday 25 November until Thursday 28 November 2024. The practical training will be concluded with a written examination. Participants are responsible for organizing and funding their own travel and accommodation costs related to the practical training in Brussels.

Recognition

The course is designed to meet the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) requirements, as stated in the Implementing Regulation EU 2019/27 (including the requirements in the Acceptable Means of Compliance and Guidance Material to Part MED, issue 2, 2019). An application for approval of the course and recognition of the diploma will be submitted to the Chief Medical Officer of the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Entry Requirements

Medical degree and specialization
Successful completion of a Basic AME course (certificate/diploma)
Sufficient English language skills to participate in this course

Registration Procedure

Upon registration, your application will be reviewed. After review is completed, admissions decisions will be communicated to applicants. Admission to the course is granted on a first come, first served basis.

Upon acceptance, a course fee payment invoice will be sent to you in the amount of €2700. Payment must be received within 2 weeks after acceptance notification to confirm your spot in the course. Failure to submit payment will result in forfeiture of your spot to a person on the waitlist.
