The Workshop on Risk Assessment of Mental and Physical Fitness of Aviation Personnel was held in the period of October 16-18, 2024, in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. The event was organized by the TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange) project of the European Commission in collaboration with ESAM Academy and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Moldova.

ESAM Academy endorsed experts who provided training in the newest achievements of European aviation medicine related to the risk assessment and management of mental and physical health of aviation personnel, an important aspect in ensuring flight safety.

Beneficiaries of the training were aviation medicine doctors and psychologists, representatives from the aviation industry from Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Ukraine.  

Experts represented by Prof. Anthony Wagstaff, Dr. Ries Simons, Mr. Aedrian Bekker, Ms. Catarina Cunha, Dr. Gerhard Fahnenbruck, Ms. Vivianne Michele Fonne, Dr. Diederik De Rooy, Dr. Declan Maher and Capt. Dave Fielding covered the following topics during the Workshop:
